Sharon became a Licensed Massage Therapist in July of 2004.
Choosing to take more than the State required hours, she specialized in Nueromuscular Therapy and graduated with a specialty in that field.
In April 2008 she completed a Master Level Certification in Medical Massage Therapy. Sharon works closely with Chiropractors and has so for many years. This has greatly contributed to her understanding of the medical needs of the patient.
In August 2010 Sharon received her certification in Lymphatic Drainage. She works with breast cancer survivors of who many are referred from their surgeons to help redirect the accumulated lymph fluid that sometimes occurs after sugery and reconstruction. Edema (swelling caused by fluid retention) caused by diabetes or injuries, such as whiplash, to sinus drainage are some of the many reason patients can possibly benefit from this gentle but effect treatment.
Sharon has completed classes in CranioSacral Therapy I in June 2011 and CranioSacral Therapy II in Jan. 2012 from the world renowned Uledger's Institute. To expand her knowledge in pregnancy massage. Sharon recevied her certification in Advanced Training and Therapeutic Massage Techniques in Feb 2012. Taking the course "Bodywork for The Childbearing Years" from highly respected creator and instructor Kate Jordan has given Sharon the opportunity to help her pregnant clients with expanded prenatal knowledge but can include labor and postpartum as well.
